Dale Adkins - "America's Most Published Artist"
Born in Ft. Worth, Texas in
1934, Dale Adkins is the grandson of Andrew Jackson Adkins, who moved to
Oklahoma in 1887. He has a degree in fine arts from Oklahoma City University.
Helping to raise his three children, he has lived most of his life in Texas and
Oklahoma. His art reflects his ancestry.
More published than Norman Rockwell, Dale is best known for his illustration of
the Louis L'Amour western novels. He currently lives in North Texas where he
continues to create popular art.
